Self explores the question of identity through the journey of a young girl searching for her place in an unfamiliar world. When dissatisfaction pushes us to leave a place or condition behind, we seek change, yet along the way we often forget what we were originally looking for. Migration becomes a labyrinth where the self is fragmented and reshaped.
The film unfolds in split screen, presenting two parallel realities. In one frame, the girl forgets her phone in a public bathroom. In the other, the same girl finds the phone and searches for its owner. Through this mirrored structure, the film uses metaphor to reflect on displacement, duality, and the experience of finding oneself.
