BIOGRAPHY

I studied BA in Film in Iran and I have finished my master’s degree in fine arts at Bergen university in Norway. I work with analogue and digital photography, film and video installation disciplines. I try to investigate the relations in the states of being through the triangle of remembrance, vision and memory as my main focuses of practice. I concentrate on the notion that I call it ‘In-betweenity’ which refers to the intricate space including the viewer's perception and the narrative. Distance is my recurring theme as I explore different states of being in distance, and the distance itself. I aim to make experiences that evoke a sense of ambiguity, blurring the boundaries between dreamlike illusions and reality. I want to immerse the audience in an experience where they feel like being lost, not in confusion, but in a state of bewilderment.
