Hem – 2015
The movie is about a young couple who live in the same house. They share the same objects in the house, but they don’t have any direct contact throughout the movie. They touch their memoires hiding inside the objects and their home. The objects play the role of a third character that connects them to each other. The word “HEM” has a similar function in Turkish and Persian language. “HEM” can be used as a preposition which brings two different sentences together, like “also” or “and” in English language. “HEM” symbolizes the common objects between the couple.
Diplopia - 2021
“Diplopia” narrates Three different characters that meet each other while they are dreaming. I will shoot the character sleeping in public places like shopping centres, construction workshops and public transportation. We hear the voice of dreamers, narrating on the images.
Re-Cycle – 2022
The pivotal idea of “Re-cycle” is Time. How going forward and backwards in time can change our perceive of the phenomenon around us. We are generally convinced that time presents linear features. In these 5 minutes-length movies, I aimed to question this feature of time and give a chance to more minds think over it and see this “obvious” fact from another point of view. The moments in which we are at, and the seconds that we call “now”, are untouchable past as we call them and there would be no access to them as they pass. However, there are many actions, which, when recorded and played in rewinding mode, one can’t recognize whether the scene is forwarding or rewinding regarding the linear direction of the time.
