Human ear is able to hear the frequencies between 0 to 180 decibels. People in Iran are fighting for their basic rights against the Islamic regime, and their main slogan is #woman_life_freedom . We believe that the voice of Iranian people’s recent protests hadn’t been audible enough due to various reasons. We have heard many names of the killed people, most significantly, Mahsa Zhina Amini’s, the girl who was killed by the morality police and ignited the protests. Though there have been a lot of men, women and even children who were killed by the Islamic Regime during these recent months, whose names aren’t heard by a lot of people. We, in “dB 1”, intend to read a list of about 500 names of the killed innocent people of this revolution that we have prepared sourced by iranwire.com, out loud once, but we have adjusted the decibel low, so the audience can have the choice of voluming up and hear them as they are being read. In 2019 protests by Iranian people against the regime there were more that 1500 people killed, as a result of internet blockage by the government and poor news coverage by other countries. This time, so far the announced number is around 500, with some obscure people who haven’t been counted or listed. Feel free to comment their names here to show honour and respect to them.
